Almost everybody in the world uses a computer on a daily basis. Whether they use one at home or at work there is a need to use one in almost every occupation. For class projects and tests students will need to use computers. In order to use their e-mail or to run programs that are job centric professionals will need to use one as well. Groups of professionals and students are more mobile than ever before, so they need computing that is very mobile as well.
On the market today laptop computers are the most popular that are bought. People have started to want computers that can travel since the internet has migrated almost everywhere, even though desktops ruled the past. An easily transported pack of computing power is contained within a laptop, almost just as powerful as desktops. Buying a desktop when a laptop is just as powerful doesn't make sense to most consumers.
Laptops come with a need to protect them while on the road in addition to their added transportability. There are some laptop computers that are built to handle drops and liquid spills on them. However most laptops cannot do this. Fragility is the main concern of the large percentage of laptops on the market. A secure case is the need they have to be carried around. Many cases are available that offer varying degrees of protection for their inhabitants.
A portion of cases are hard. This means that they will be able to handle blunt forces and occasional drops. Bulky to transport is the trade off that is made for this extra durability. Soft cases are easier to carry around than hard ones. Protecting a computer will not be accomplished as easily though. When transporting a machine the computer owner really needs to figure out how careful they will be. The case that will suit them the best will be easier to pick out afterwards.
